This tutorial is going to cover the profile section which covers a lot of your personal preferences and like avatars, signatures, etc...
You should already know how to get to the UCP if not read the 1st tutorial.
Ok let's get started...
This is the general area where you fill out all your personal info questions about yourself. Please fill this out and have fun and if you have any suggestions on questions for people just let us know in the support area. When you make your changes just click submit when you are done to save them.
Your avatar is the graphical representation of you in the forums/blogs. It is a little pic that people recognize you as. This is customizable and you can upload avatar pics or use our gallery of pics to choose from. So have fun and do pic an avatar. The only time you should get an error with uploading or using a avatar is if you break the file size limit, or pic dimensions exceeded or link to graphic file is broken. The dimensions and file sizes are shown on this page. Software only accepts .jpg, .gif and .png extensions.
Your signature is exactly that it is something that is added to every post that you make in the forums/blogs. It can be anything from smiles, pic, some text or links or combination of all of these. The rules do cover what is allowed so please look over them when you have time. Signatures will be edited if you are breaking site rules. No HTML content is allowed in signatures and it won't be added so don't ask (it's a security threat). You can preview your signature to see what it would like like before you save it. The controls in the window are the same as the forums/blog windows.
As you can see by the screenshot you can change your email or password here. I disabled username changing to prevent spam or someone from being annoying in the forum/blog areas. If you need your username changed let me know.
Overall this whole section is self explanatory and should be pretty easy to navigate and understand. Like always if you have questions just post them to the support area. Remember to read the FAQ and Rules section on Avatar and Signature rules.
