Tattoo's what is your opinons on them?

Postby DarkOne on July 25 2007, 02:36 PM

I admire the artwork and time that goes into tattoo's. But would I get one personally more than likely no. And it's not because of any health releases or bullshit about the inks or needles. I personally just think it takes away from people's looks.

Granted I have seen some tattoos that look nice on that person, they choose the right tattoo for the right place. That is what i think is important. I have seen some people when I was in the military that in my opinion had too many and took away from the guys looks.

What's your take on them and hey show them off if you have them. I do like looking at them just don't want one on me :)

I love them. I got my first tattoo five years ago, enjoyed the whole process and knew right away I wanted to contine getting tattooed. If you like tattoos and want to cover your body with them then I say go for it. I very promptly began work on a complete body tattoo and am now at the half way point. I think they look great and am looking forward to having my body completly covered.

All these tattoos will look really great when folks get to be middle aged and older - all faded and wrinkled. I'll bet that will really be a turn on!

I know men from WWI, Korea and Viet Nam that wear only long sleeved shirts because of their tattoos. But hey, it's your skin. Ink it up buddy!

I know my uncle was in the Navy back in Korea and he is about 62 or so and yeah his tattoo looks like crap now there is almost no color or definition. Yeah I know he could possibly get it touched up. I haven't done too much research on this but is there any long term effects to people that really have a lot of tattoos?

Looking forward to seeing some pics of your work tattoos :)

I have 3, I love 2 of em and dislike the 3rd and want to get it covered. I think they can be incredibly sexy if the work is tasteful. I love tracing the patterns. I am sure there were guys who decided they didnt want to date me after seeing them but thats ok, we wouldnt have worked nyway if they couldnt handle such a superficial aspect of my appearance.

I don't really like them. The odd one or two can be quite attractive but the whole arm, leg or body - no.

I agree with Sykray on this.... whether its on men or women if you have a tattoo taking up a leg, arm, back, chest I think it doesn't look that appealing... specially on women. Least to that scale... smaller tattoos are fine with me.
