it seems to go in spurts... i just don't think anyone or anything will ever be as good as the original cast and the skits they came up with. i think it had a lot to do with them pushing the limit, too... i'll never forget the first time i heard chevy chase say, "jane, you ignorant slut" OMFG, i was shocked and rolling on the floor laughing at the same time... you just weren't supposed to say that on tv back then...
