It would appear that at tonight's Easter Vigil, the Pope will be baptizing one of Italy's most prominent Muslims, Magdi Allam, the deputy editor of the Corriere della Sera newspaper and who writes often on Muslim and Arab affairs. He was born in Egypt and he has described himself as a non-practicing Muslim. Allam has long spoken out against extremism and in favor of tolerance.
